Once land is cultivated, QuinTapioca NV will have, trained, employees to supervise and support the growing of cassava in order to obtain healthy roots with highest starch content.
Training and management of all workers/farmers and use of machines will be managed by QuinTapioca NV. A large number of workers will be involved in the cultivation of cassava.
PRODUCTION, MANAGEMENT & TRAINING
The starch plant and the adjacent bio-energy plant will be built under the supervision of Nivoba.
The starch plant and the bio-energy plant will provide 30 - 40 full time jobs for management specialists and workers. The starch plant will operate 24/7.
TAPIOCA/ STARCH
QuinTapioca will package and prepare the starch for delivery in 25kg.bags or big bags (1,000kg). QuinTapioca already has existing customers who have placed their orders to purchase the starch.

USE AND FORECAST
Starch from cassava and other plants are used in the food industry, the paper and textile industry and also for oil drilling. Therefore, starch is a valuable commodity with a high global demand. Increasing standards of living increases the consumption of starch and starch derivatives.
The forecasted worldwide production of starch based on FAO statistics, is 200 million tones per year (FAO).

Based on the forecasted growth of the consumption of starch, a shortage of starch may be expected by the year 2020
50% of worlds average daily calorie intake is provided by starch crops. Compound feed is also based on 50% starch crops.

This means there is currently a high need for preparation which is the development of plantations and facilities that can catter to the global demand for starch.
Adapting and anticipating covering part of the growing consumption of starch, QuinTapioca is preparing and developing projects for the cultivation of cassava and the production of cassava starch.
